Registration is fast and easy! Simply click on the “Sign Up” button on the homepage, fill out your email address and time zone, choose a username and password, and you’re ready to go!

Once you register, an email will be sent to the email address you provided in the registration form. When you open the email, either click “Confirm Your Email Address” or paste the activation link from the body of the email into the URL box of your web browser. Once you activate your account, you will receive ZoomaBucks to begin betting with.

To create or edit your profile, click on “My Profile” on the homepage and you will be directed to your profile page. When you click “Edit Profile,” you can add fun information you want other Zoomabet members to know: where you are from, your interests, and a unique avatar to represent you!

You can search for members directly from the homepage by clicking on “Advanced Search” and entering either the member’s name or other descriptive parameters. When you click “Advanced Search,” you can either search for members or bets to join.

To invite friends to join Zoomabet, click on the button that asks “Does your friend know the future?”, located on the homepage. By clicking this button, you can enter your friends’ email information and Zoomabet will send them an invitation. For every friend that registers to Zoomabet due to an invitation you send him/her, you receive additional ZoomaBucks.

Also, when you register to Zoomabet, the system will ask you if you want to invite friends from your web mail address book. Zoomabet can access gmail and yahoo email accounts.

If you create a bet and you want to bet against a friend who is not a member of Zoomabet, click on the “Email for invite” button when setting the terms of your bet and Zoomabet will send your friend an invitation to bet against you.

Zoomabet Alerts allows you to join more bets without searching for them. When you register for the alert system, you choose a category(s) that interests you and when a bet is placed in this category, Zoomabet immediately alerts you via message and/or email.

If you need a suggestion for a bet, you can search for new events by either country or category. From the homepage, click on the “Events” button. In the text view, upcoming events are listed and can be sorted by category, date placed, or closing date. If you are in the world view, upcoming events will appear as flags on the countries. Sorting events by the time added or the time ending can also inspire bet ideas.

Topics are separated into several bet categories: News and Politics, Sports, Entertainment, Economy, Weather, Personal, and Internet and Media. Under each category, several sub-categories exist.

To create a new bet, click the "Place New Bet" button at the top of the homepage. Next, you are directed s to follow three simple steps in which you fill out the bet subject and location, the bet description, and the bet terms. In the first step, it is required to fill in the category, location, and event of your bet. Once you have completed this, Zoomabet provides you with other existing bets that match your description so far, in case you would rather join a bet rather than create one.

In the second step, you are asked to fill in the bet title, statement, and tags relevant to your bet. The bet title and statement should be clear and descriptive so that other members can easily decide if they want to join your bet. After entering the last date to join, the judgment date, how many members can bet against you, if you want to auto-approve members who request to join your bet, and how many ZoomaBucks are at stake and requested, Zoomabet provides you with a bet summary of all the terms you set. Simply click the “Continue” button and your bet is placed!

Zoomabet has created the matchmaker to help when you place new bets. When placing a new bet, the matchmaker automatically displays bets that match the category, location, and event you entered. The matchmaker decreases the amount of overlapping bets on Zoomabet so that more bets are joined.

In order to place a new bet, you are required to fill out a few necessary fields so other members know exactly what they are betting on. Stars denote the required fields. These fields include the betting category and location; the bet title and statement; and the last date other user(s) can join the bet, when the subject of the bet closes, the number of other users who can join, how many ZoomaBucks are at stake, and if you want an automatic judge, should there be a conflict over who wins the bet.

Anyone can join a bet! When creating the betting terms, you can auto-approve the first member who requests to join the bet or choose to individually approve each member who requests to join. If you choose to auto-approve members, you can set specifications about a members rating in order for them to be allowed to join. You can also decide how many people you want to bet against with the same betting terms.

As a bet creator, you also have the power to select members to join your bet. When you place a bet, you can invite friends who are registered Zoomebet members to join your bet. If you have a friend who is not a member of Zoomabet, you can invite your friend to join the bet and Zoomabet simultaneously.

To see the status of a created bet, click on “My Account” at the top of any page. On this page, you can track all the bets you have created. Zoomabet also sends notifications regarding when another member joins your bet, when the time period ends that others can join your bet, when the bet closes and you are required to decide who won the bet, and if there is a dispute over who won the bet.

Zoomabet has put the control over who wins a bet in its members’ hands. Once a bet has closed, each member involved in the bet is asked to decide if they won the bet, lost the bet, or if a winner cannot be determined. When a member declares a verdict, the verdict is kept secret to the opponent until both members have declared. If each member agrees on a winner, then the decision stands. If there is a disagreement over who wins the bet, the members involved can choose to stay with their first decision, cancel the bet, or request a Judge and the bet will go to trial. If both members stay with their decision, the bet automatically goes to trial, in which a Judge decides the final verdict. The Zoomabet system relies on both members’ first and second declarations in the case of a dispute over the verdict.

To communicate with another member, simply click on the “Chat” button when viewing the other member's profile. If the member is logged into Zoomabet, you can have a direct, real time chat.

Or, you can choose to message another member by clicking the “Message” button on their profile. The next time the member signs into Zoomabet, their inbox will show that there is a message waiting for them.

To send another member a message, click the “Message” button at the bottom of the member’s profile page.

Members can see who else is currently betting by clicking on “Who’s Betting Now” at the top of the homepage.

To add a friend, click on the “Make a Friend” button at the bottom of the page.

To subscribe to a member’s bets and receive Zooma Alerts of new bets created by the member, click on the “Subscribe” button at the bottom of a member’s profile. If you are viewing an existing bet and you think you would like to receive alerts about bets placed by the creator of the specific bet, click on the member to see his/her profile and click on the “Subscribe” button at the bottom of the page.

To leave a comment on about a member, click “Insert Comment” at the bottom of the member’s profile page.

When searching for bets, members can also leave comments. If a member is viewing an existing bet to join, there is a tab on the left side of the bet information card. By clicking on the second tab, members can view other comments about the bet and add their own comments too!

It is important for members to rate the members they bet with. Zoomabet was created to be a fun and social environment and if members enjoy (or do not enjoy) betting with other members, we encourage them to communicate this to the Zoomabet community.

Once a bet closes and you determine a winner, you are prompted to rate and write feedback about your experience betting against the other member. You are asked to rate members on their responsiveness, integrity, and the overall experience betting with them. The ratings are averaged into an overall score that helps other members determine who they want to bet against.

When a bet is placed, you can rate a bet and let the bet creator know if you find the bet interesting, dull, original, funny, etc. To rate a bet, you can give the bet between one in five stars, one star being the worst (“Are you kidding?”) and five stars being the best (“On fire”). When you rate a bet, your rating will be averaged with all the other bet ratings to create an average bet score.

To search for members, go to your “My Friends” page, which you can access from either your account or profile. Here, enter the name of the member you want to find in the search box.

Of course! Members have the option to join an existing bet already placed. Searching for bets is simple and can be accessed from the homepage in both the world and text views. Members can search for existing bets by country, category, the date the bet was placed, or the date the bet closes.

Once you have found a bet you want to join, you have two options in joining the bet. The first option is to click the “Join” button and join the bet with the terms proposed by the bet creator. The second option is to click the “Suggest New Terms” button and join the bet only if the bet creator accepts the new terms you propose to the bet; however the creator has the option to accept, decline, or negotiate your new terms.

If you find an existing bet you want to join but you don't agree with all of the betting terms, you can request to join a bet AND amend the terms of the bet. To do this, simply click the “Suggest New Terms” button on the bet you are interested in joining. After clicking this, you can change the statement of the bet, ZoomaBucks at stake, the closing date, or any other term you want to change. A notification will be sent to the creator of the bet who can accept, reject, or negotiate your suggested terms. If the creator of the bet accepts the new terms, the bet stands following your suggested terms.

If you ask to join a bet AND amend the terms of the bet, Zoomabet will send you a notification (in inbox) once the creator of the bet decides whether to accept, reject, or negotiate your suggested terms.

“Keep of Good Behavior” is determined by two factors. First, when a bet closes and you determine the winner, you are additionally asked to rate the member you bet against on his/her responsiveness, integrity, and the overall experience betting with him/her. The ratings are averaged into an overall score and this score makes up half of “Keep of Good Behavior.”

The second factor that contributes to “Keep of Good Behavior” is the number of disputes a member receives. Member receive a dispute if they do not vote on a winner once the bet has closed, or if there is a contradiction over who won the bet and they do not revote for a winner.

“ZoomaBest” is Zoomabet’s hall of fame. Members in ZoomaBest, members have the highest quantity of ZoomaBucks on Zoomabet.

There are three types of lotteries on Zoomabet and in each lottery members can win prizes. The larger the lottery, the larger the prize! Members can use their ZoomaBucks to enter the lottery and can join the lottery by clicking the “Lottery” button on the homepage.

Members are encouraged to volunteer to judge bets in which there is no agreement over the winner of the bet. Members must have integrity rating of at least 95%, have no disputes in the last three months, placed at least 10 bets on Zoomabet, and have a response rating of at least 80% in order to judge bets.

To become a judge, you can send a request to Zoomabet to become a judge, have another member recommend you, or Zoomabet can choose you to become a judge based on good behavior and history. As a judge, for each trial you settle, you receive ZoomaBucks.
